On our recent trip to Guatemala we met several amazing people who are deeply committed to serving God's call. One of these individuals is Rick Ufford-Chase. Rick is a founder of Borderlinks. Borderlinks. He gave us a very thought provoking excercise in Guatemala economics. Rick had each of us role play the different influences in Guatemala economics. What do we as Christians do when we go to a place like Guatemala or any other Third World country where there is a proud, people who like our fellowship but don't want a handout? For americans it is somewhat conflicting. We like to fix things. Help people. In the back of our mind we like to take people under our wing.
